Tornator is a leading company specialised in sustainable forest management in Europe. We own forests in Finland, Estonia and Romania. Our core business is wood production and the sale of cutting rights. In addition, we sell high-quality waterfront plots and soil resources, and lease rights of access to our land. We also buy forestland near our current holdings. In 2018 the Group's net sales exceeded ca. €113 million, and the balance sheet value is about €1.6 billion. The Group has a total of some 200 employees, and its forests provide work for contractors and their staff worth some 1 000 person-years. Parent Company's owners are Finnish, mainly institutional investors.
Tornator's mission is "generating sustainable well-being from the forest".
The current Tornator was created in 2002 when Stora Enso divested its forestlands. However, the name Tornator has a long history in Finnish industry. Enso-Gutzeit had acquired a forestry company called Tornator in the 1930s, and the name was resurrected.
