At the end of 2025, the Tornator Group owned 819,000 hectares of forest. The total value of the forest assets was EUR 3.8 billion.

Of our 819,000 hectares of forest assets, 742,000 ha are in Finland, 65,000 ha in Estonia, and 12,000 ha in Romania.

We own 742,000 hectares of forest in Finland, which makes us the largest private forest owner in the country. Our forest assets are located across Finland, but our ownership is strongest in Eastern Finland, where the company was originally founded.

Dual certification guides forest management

Tornator’s forests are certified under both PEFC and FSC. Certification means that forest management and operations are ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable, without compromising the ability of future generations to live and thrive.

FSC-certified forests are still rare — in Finland, FSC certification covers 10% of forest area, and globally only 4%. Tornator’s forests account for one-third of all FSC-certified forest area in Finland.
