Through felling and management, forests can continue to be carbon sinks, which of course has positive effects on the climate. If forests are not regenerated at all, they would become no more than carbon stock as growth slows.

Our task is to enable the value chain of wood products by supplying as much usable, renewable raw material to the market as possible for use in the forestry, energy and textile industries, amongst others. We can ensure this by making full use of felling opportunities while at the same time complying with sustainability criteria. The more wood we can harvest from forests sustainably, the better for the climate.

Our climate program is closely linked to our biodiversity program, which aims to safeguard biodiversity in the company’s forests. Conservation measures and the natural management of commercial forests are highly compatible endeavours.
